Shri Mahaprabhuji’s Baithakji is on the banks of river Nagmati. Along with Shri Mahaprabhuji, there is also Shri Gusaiji’s Baithakji here.
When Shri Mahaprabhuji came here, this was not a big a city. He stayed on the banks of a Nagmati river under the Chhokar tree. He also held Shri Bhagavat Purana here. The King Jam Tamachi came for darshan when he heard about Shri Mahaprabhuji’s arrival. The King said, “Maharaj, I am so lucky that, I could do Your darshan. My soul became pure by just seeing You. This whole area became pure by You. So, please accept me under Your shelter.” Shri Mahaprabhuji blessed the King amd took him under His shelter.
The King expressed his wish to Shri Mahaprabhuji to develop a city. Shri Mahaprabhuji blessed him and told him to start the construction on the same day.
In the city there is a Haveli where Shri Gadadhardas’ Shri Madanmohanji is worshiped. This form of the God as Shri Madanmohanji is very special. Once, Shri Gadadhardas had offered only water to Shri Madanmohanji during seva, because he had nothing else to offer. So, he was in deep grief. But, because of the grace of Shri Madanmohanji, a guest who has come to visit him, gave some gold coins as dakshina. Instantly, Shri Gadadhardas rushed to the market and bought some fresh jalebi and then offered this Bhog to Shri Madanmohanji and ate this bhog with all his four hands. From that day, this form of the God is Chaturbhuj (who has four hands).
