Paansakusha Ekadashi

    Date: Saturday 14 October 2024

Also known as: Papakunsha, Pansakusha or Pashankusha Ekadashi.

Shri Gusaiji is a very kind person. Hence, they give his shelter to every person even to the sinful person too. Shri Gopaldas has sung in his Akhyan:

“Bhakt jivna bhagya vistarya, Icchha kari hari sar tene hete aapo pe pragatya Shree Vallabh Rajkumar.”

The Lord Shri Krishna took birth as Shri Vitthalnathji on this earth to accept the divine lives and to give salvation to the sinful people.

“Paansakusha” means the sinful lives. Shri Gusaiji relieved those lives and gave salvation to them on this Ekadashi, hence it is called as the “Paansakusha Ekadashi”. “Paans” means the rope to tie the lives by the Yamraj and “Kusha” means the instrument to give punishment to the lives by the Yamraj.
