Due to Shri Mahaprabhuji’s nidhi swaroop Shri Balkrishna Lalji here, Vaishnavs cannot fill Jhariji. They can only do darshan. Photography, video or use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited.
This Baithakji is in the house of Shri Mahaprabhuji’s sevaks Shri Narhari Joshi and Shri Jagannath Joshi. Their direct descendants are currently doing Shri Mahaprabhuji’s seva and therefore this is a unique Baithakji.
In this Baithakji, there is also the idol of Shri Mahaprabhuji’s nidhi swaroop Shri Balkrishna Lalji. Once, Shri Jagannathji offered fresh and hot khir to this swaroop and as a result, the Lord’s hands (also called shriang) burnt a little. We can even today see some burn marks of the khir on the shriang of Shri Balkrishna Lalji. It is for this reason that khir is one samagri that is always offered lukewarm or cold in the seva a Vaishnav does in their home.
Shri Mahaprabhuji came here during all of His three pilgrimages. During the first pilgrimage, Shri Mahaprabhuji took Shri Narhari Joshi and his mother under his shelter and made them sevak of Shri Vitthalnathji and Shri Madan Mohan Lalji. Also, Shri Mahaprabhuji gave them his Jhariji which is still here today for darshan. During his second pilgrimage, due to the mother’s request, Shri Mahaprabhuji accepted the gift of the “Chammar” from the King Krishnadevaraya of Vijayanagar and the wooden stick is still available for darshan today. During the third pilgrimage, again due to the mother’s request, Shri Mahaprabhuji made them sevak of Shri BalKrishna Lalji. Shri Mahaprabhuji’s signature and Bhagwat Pothi is still here for darshan.
When Shri Mahaprabhuji came here, he stayed in a nearby jungle called Vrindavan. Shri Jagannath and Narhari Joshi’s mother once went there to bring water. She did the darshan of the supernatural form of Shri Mahaprabhuji and she requested to make her His sevak. Hence, Shri Mahaprabhuji made her and both her sons His sevak. Shri Mahaprabhuji was very pleased with their devotion and went to their home. Shri Mahaprabhuji also held Shri Bhagavat Purana here during all three of His pilgrimage. He also narrated the Shlok of the ‘Yugal Geet’ here. Daily, there would also be a discourse of Shri Subodhiniji.
In this Baithakji, due to Shri Mahaprabhuji’s nidhi swaroop Shri Balkrishna Lalji and all of the personal items of Shri Mahaprabhuji, only Goswami Balaks can do seva. Vaishnavas cannot fill Jhariji here. Instead, they can do kori seva outside the Baithakji and just do darshan here.
Shri Mahaprabhuji then went to Siddhpur from here.
