Siddhpur was famous as a Siddha Kshetra in the ancient times when there were so many Rishi’s Ashram on the banks of the river Saraswati.
Here, was also the ashram of Lord Shri Brahma’s son Kardam Rishi, whose son, Lord Shri Kapildevji gave salvation to his mother. His Ashram was on the banks of the ancient Bindu Sarovar. It is said that, this sarovar was created from the tears of happiness of the Lord.
When Shri Mahaprabhuji came here, he told about this place to Damodardas Harsaniji that, “Here at this place, there was the ashram of Kardam Rishi. Lord Shri Kapildevji had preached on the “Sankhya Shastra” to his mother Devhutiji. Then, Devhutiji took a form of water and went into this Bindu Sarovar.”
Shri Mahaprabhuji then took a bath in Bindu Sarovar and started Shri Bhagavat Purana. At that time, many Mayavadi Pandits came to him for debates on the Shastras. But, as usual, Shri Mahaprabhuji had defeated them and established “Shuddhadvaita Brahmvad” and took them under his shelter.
