Tagdi

Shri Mahaprabhuji arrived at Tagdi with a small number of His sevaks. They all stayed within a stone’s throw of a Brahmin farmer’s home where he lived with his wife and two young sons.

The Brahmin farmer’s wife looked after 10 cows and buffaloes from whose milk she would daily churn butter and ghee. One day, after churning the milk, the Brahmin farmer’s wife went to fetch water from a nearby well. In the meantime, both the young sons woke up and being hungry, saw the fresh butter and ghee and started eating it.

The Brahmin farmer, upon witnessing the pleasure his sons were having eating the butter and ghee, became excited. He immediately ran to Shri Mahaprabhuji and requested, “Maharaj, please come inside and see. Shri Krishna and Shri Balram are eating butter!” Shri Mahaprabhuji also became happy seeing them and said to the Brahmin, “You are blessed that you remembered Bhagwad Lila by seeing your sons eating the butter and ghee. But, your wife’s nature is a bit greedy. So, go and explain to her not to scold the children. Because in every child is a part of God and remind her about Shri Krishna and his brother Shri Balram’s divine butter stealing sports in Vraj.”

The Brahmin, following Shri Mahaprbhuji’s advice, relayed the incident to his wife. He said, “By the grace of God, that man is the form of the Lord and it’s our luck that he came to our house. So, be happy and don’t scold our children.” His wife became so happy listening this. They both came home and bowed to Shri Mahaprabhuji. The wife’s greediness was instantly removed by Shri Mahaprabhuji’s blessings.

The farmer couple and all the sevakas of Shri Mahaprabhuji then had the darshan of the supernatural form of Shri Krishna and Shri Balram in those two children.

Shri Mahaprabhuji then held Shri Bhagavat Purana where He was staying. Very soon after, the entire Brahmin family left this world to be with the Lord’s lila and be personally connected with Shri Krishna.

In this incident with the two Brahmin children, Shri Mahaprabhuji has beautifully explained the principle of ‘Shuddhadvaita Brahmanwad’. Every living being is a part of the Lord and so we should be kind to everyone. The whole world is the Adhi-Bhautik form of the Lord.
